LOTION BAR:
You can use this lotion on your whole body including your face. It is great for aging skin, it helps any kind of dry, itchy skin conditions as well. Don't be fooled by the thickness of the cream, it will melt in your hand as you rub them together!
1 part beeswax
1 part coconut oil
1 part shea butter/cocoa butter/mango butter/kokum butter or combination
1 teaspoon Vitamin E oil (optional)
50 drops Essential oil (note this is at your discretion - I would use about 50 total drops for 1.5 cups of cream. but this will depend on what oil you use. My standard is 1/2 frankincense 1/2 tea tree)
--play with quantity depending on what oil you are using. This lotion bar is awesome for excema, psoriasis and dry winter skin in general. In the dark of winter i use it on my face in the mornings and it stops hangnails in their tracks!

This recipe can be adjusted to make any quantity that you'd like. For example, made with 1 part=1 cup, you would use 1 cup of coconut oil, 1 cup beeswax and ⅓ cup each of shea butter, cocoa butter and mango butter (though you could use 1 cup of any of the individual ones). With 1 part=1 cup you can use about 50 drops of essential oil (I usually use lavender) and 1 teaspoon vitamin e oil.  1 part=1 cup makes 12 lotion bars.

Combine beeswax, coconut oil, and butters in a double boiler, a glass bowl over a smaller saucepan with 1 inch of water in it, or glass mason jar with a lid and place this in a small saucepan of water (this will save your bowl and you can just designate this jar for these type of projects and not even need to wash it out.)
Turn the burner on and bring water to a boil, slowly if using mason jar method.
Stir ingredients constantly until they are melted and smooth.
Remove from heat and add the vitamin e oil and essential oils.
Gently stir until the oils are incorporated.
Carefully pour into molds or whatever you will be allowing the lotion bars to harden in. (I use jars, tins or silicone baking cups, though any mold would work. They can also be made in a square baking pan and then cut into bars.)
Allow the lotion bars to cool completely before attempting to pop them out.

This is a very basic recipe. I encourage you to play with it and make it your own!

SUNSCREEN ADDING ZINC OXIDE TO REGULAR LOTION (preferable organic):

Step 1
Put on protective gloves and mask. These protection is essential because inhaling zinc oxide can cause serious health problems

Step 2
Measure 8 oz. of lotion into your bowl.

Step 3
Measure zinc oxide. For an SPF of 12 to 19, measure out 1.2 to 1.5 oz. of zinc oxide. For an SPF higher than 20, measure out 2 oz. of zinc oxide. For an SPF between 6 and 11, measure 0.8 oz. For a very low SPF, between 2 and 5, measure out 0.4 oz. of zinc oxide.

Step 4
Add the zinc oxide to the lotion in the bowl. Use a spoon or a chopstick to thoroughly incorporate the zinc oxide into the lotion. Thorough mixing is essential to ensure that all the lotion gets sun-protective benefits.

Step 5
Transfer the lotion mixture to a new container and store it in a cool place.

Tips
To easily transfer your homemade sunscreen to its new container, spoon or pour the mixture into a plastic food storage bag, seal the bag and snip one of the corners. Squeeze the sunscreen from the plastic bag into its new container.

Zinc oxide is readily available from numerous online suppliers. Be sure to choose non-nano zinc oxide.

Things You'll Need
Protective gloves
Protective mask
Purchased lotion
Bowl
Plastic container
Non-nano Zinc oxide (particles stay on the surface of the skin instead of being absorped in)

SEASONAL ALLERGIES:

Put 2 drops lemon, 2 drops lavender and 2 drops peppermint in a glass or stainless steel water bottle. Drink and refill to get the residual oils throughout the day for maximum results.

Alternative for seasonal allergies: Put 1 drop lemon, one drop lavender and 1 drop peppermint into a veggie capsule and fill the rest with                extra virgin olive oil. Take 1 capsule 3x a day.

Peppermint Chocolate BODY SCRUB:
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon Cocoa powder
1 Tablespoon ev Olive Oil
7 drios YL peppermint oil
Mix well and store in a glass mason jar.

           Variations on a scrub...
                   1. Swap out the carrier oil for another you have on hand.
                   2. Swap out the chocolate and peppermint for lavender and melaleuca.
(use up to 15 drops for this quantity or experiment with your own  oil strenght).
                   3. Instead of all sugar (use 1/2 epson salt or sea salt and 1/2 sugar or use brown sugar instead of white sugar).

RAINDROP IN A BOTTLE:
One roller ball and an empty oil bottle
25 drops Valor
10 drops Oregano
5 drops Thyme
5 drops Basil
5 drops Cypress
5 drops Wintergreen
5 drops Marjoram
5 drops Peppermint
5 drops Aroma Siez
Place in 5ml bottle...fills the bottle about 1/2 way.
Optional - you can fill the remainder of the bottle with a carrier oil

TOOTHPASTE:
***IMPORTANT Note: Use only plastic utensils for mixing bentonite clay and glass or plastic containers for storing it (i.e. watch out for a metal lid, for example, on a mason jar). The metal will reverse the polarity of the clay and there goes a portion of your health benefits!!

1.5 T bentonite clay
2 T water
   Combine and mix

Add 1 T melted coconut oil
2 tsp baking soda
thieves (10 drops or so) and 5 peppermint for minty freshness.
       --Mix well until paste forms.

Here is the website I originally got the recipe from and also health benefit info:
http://www.overthrowmartha.com/2014/02/diy-toothpaste-with-baking-soda-clay.html

That amount of toothpaste itself only costs about $1 without buying the container.

DEODORANT
MORE INFO ON ON THIS DEODORANT AT: http://www.overthrowmartha.com/2014/01/diy-deodorant-with-bentonite-clay-and.html

NOTE: What puts this recipe over the top for me is the CLAY. It is soothing on my sensitive pits and it actually prevents rings on my clothes when I give massages; something no other homemade or natural store bought deo has been able to boast.

1 Pint Size Mason Jar
1 plastic measuring spoon (TBSP)
1 plastic utensil for stirring
(If you're wondering why I'm being crazy about plastic, it's because bentonite clay has negative ions that absorb stuff in metal. Unless you want metallic armpits-- don't use metal anything on your clay).

2 TBSP Bentonite Clay (I use Redmond Trading Company Clay )
4 TBSP Arrowroot powder
4 TBSP Baking Soda
6 TBSP Coconut Oil
Optional: 10 drops of Essential Oil such as Lavender, Melaleuca, or Joy  (deoderant recipe from overthrowmartha.com)

BUG REPELLENT:

8 oz of water in a glass spray bottle + the follow oils or 8 oz of carrier oil in a glass spray bottle and the same oils. I use the water version to spray on my clothes and the carrier oil repellent to spread on my skin. Use
10 drops citronella essential oil oil (substitute purification which has purification and lemongrass in it)
5 drops lavender essential oil
5 drops lemongrass essential oil
5 drops eucalyptus globulus essential oil (RC contains this eucalyptus if you don't have the single oil)
1 oz. of witch hazel extract (inexpensive purchase at Walgreens or Target+)

USE THE OILS YOU HAVE ON HAND AND MAYBE STEP IT UP A NOTCH BY TRYING A NEW OIL.

MORE POSSIBLE OILS TO TRY FOR REPELLENT:

   - Cinnamon Oil (mosquitoes)
   -Blue Cypress (mosquitoes)
   - Lemongrass (mosquitoes, fleas, flies)
   - Eucalyptus oil (mosquitoes, ticks, and lice)
   - Citronella oil (mosquitoes and biting flies)
   - Orange oil (fleas and flea eggs)
   - Lavender (fleas)
   - Peppermint (crawling insects and fleas)
   - Young Living Purification Blend (citronella, lemongrass, Rosemary+)
   Melaleuca - tea tree)
   - Young Living Thieves Blend (Lemon, eucalyptus, rosemary, cinnamon)

TICK/FLEE REPELLENT COLLAR:
1/2 tsp alcohol
1 drop cedarwood
1 drop thyme
2 drops citronella
2 drops lavender
3 drops orange
3 drops purificadtion

Soak your pet's collar in mixture until all liquid is absorbed. Allow to dry completely. This is good for 30 days.

ROLL-ON MIXES:
Use a roller ball (one comes in the starter kit and is reusable) or order a 10-pack (also reuseable).
Using an empty oil bottle, put in 10-20 drops of essential oil and fill the rest with extra virgin olive oil or other favorite carrier oil.

Note: to remove the reuseable rollerballs, pry to the side using the lid. If you try to screw it off like a jar lid, you will only get frustrated! To screw the roller ball on just twist to the right using the lid until it locks into place.

Roll-on mixes are great to send with a child or pop in your purse for easy use.

BATH BOMBS:
https://inspiredbycharm.com/diy-bath-bombs/
Makes 4  Here's what you will need:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup epsom salt
1/2 cup cornstarch
Coloring pigment, optional
2 1/2 tablespoons almond oil (or melted coconut oil)
3/4 tablespoon water
12-15 drops essential oil
Bath bomb molds

In a medium bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients. Add as much or as little color pigment to achieve desired look. Whisk to combine.

In a separate small bowl, mix together the wet ingredients.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones very slowly. (This is very important; otherwise you will activate the citric acid which is used to create the fizzing affect.) Mix until combined, and the ingredients look like wet sand.

Fill each half of the mold, packing the mixture in slightly until it's overflowing. Press the halves together firmly. Let the filled mold sit for one minute. Lightly tap the mold and gently pull it apart to remove the bath bomb. Let the bath bombs dry for 24 hours before enjoying in the tub.
